This month, Lucy and Mangenda had the opportunity to do a presentation at the https://www.glowconference.org/ to an audience of women’s health researchers from around the world.  They also attended the conference dinner and connected with other African researchers and practitioners.

The 2YoungLives project also has a new website www.2YoungLives.org and they are currently collecting second hand wedding dresses in order to start a social enterprise, 2YoungLives Bridal Wear, a wedding dress rental business as a sustainable funding model.  If you would like to donate a wedding dress, please contact Lucy through the website.

One of our girls recently had a Caesarean section after a long labour. Without being mentored she may well have stayed at home in obstructed labour and died, lost her baby or developed lifelong Gunnar problems (poor responses to extreme stress in later life).

We are thankful for our dedicated teams of volunteer mentors.

Since 2YoungLives started we have had:  52 births.

  • No lives lost.
  • One Caesarian Section.

3 deaths avoided, maybe more.

We are also grateful to the Souter Charitable Trust who just recently contibuted to this project.
